By Road from Scarborough

• Take the A165 coast road through Scalby to Burniston
  
• Take the A171 to Whitby.
  
• From Whitby take the A174 to Sandsend and Lythe.
  
• Continue along the A174 through Sandsend and Lythe and the road will eventually lead you to the Parish of Hinderwell.
  
• Approximately six miles after Lythe you will see a the turn off for Runswick Bay.
  
• Continue straight-on for the remainder of the parish. You are approaching Hinderwell.
  
• For Port Mulgrave turn right just after the vicarage and church on your right hand side.
  
• Follow the main road for another mile then take the second turning on your right will take you into Staithes.
  
• For Dalehouse and Roxby go past this turn off and take the next turning on your left..
