There are no active train stations in the Parish of Hinderwell. The nearest stations are Whitby, Middlesbrough and Saltburn. For these services you will have to change trains at either Darlington or Middlesbrough depending upon your departure point.

• From Whitby or Middlesbrough catch the X56 to your destination.
• The Bus station at Whitby is situated next to the railway station.
• At Middlesbrough the bus station is approximately five minutes walk from the railway station.
• At Saltburn as you come out the station follow the road straight down to the bus stops..
• From there catch the 62 service to Loftus, in Loftus change at either the Market Place or the bus garage on to the X56 for Staithes.
• When getting on the X56 bus follow the instructions as in the bus & coach section to arrive at your final destination.
