From Whitby

  • Take the X56 service that runs from Whitby to Middlesbrough, stopping at Runswick Bay, Hinderwell and Staithes.
  • For Port Mulgrave leave the bus at Hinderwell Old School and take the short walk round the back of the church up to the village.
  • For Dalehouse leave the bus at Staithes and walk approximately 150 yards towards Loftus and take the turning on your left which will take you down to Dalehouse. This should take about five minutes. Unfortunately although you would get off at the same stop for Roxby you would need transport of some kind to get you up there as it is quite a long hilly walk.

  • Take the same X56 service that goes to Whitby and follow the route for each village as above.
