Seadrift Cafe overlooks the picturesque Staithes harbour, within a stones throw from the beach. We offer a wide range of excellent coffees including cappuccino, latte, mocha espresso also a large selection of teas, and cold drinks, including milk shakes and our delicious banana smoothie made with fresh banana, local honey, ice cream and milk. Our ice cream is supplied by Trillos of Whitby.

There is a selection of freshly made sandwiches with some very imaginative fillings, including goats cheese, honey and walnut and cream cheese banana and toasted almonds, as well as the traditional fillings such as locally produced ham, tuna, prawn and cheese.

We also offer hot dishes such as our very popular creamy scrambled eggs, delicious bacon sandwiches. Ciabattas, homemade soups in Winter and a variety of salads in summer.

Our homemade cakes are very popular, particularly our famous Coble Cake, a delicious flavoured cake made with cinnamon, walnuts and apricot jam, filled with apple and served warm with cream, this is a secret family recipe first invented approximately eighteen years ago by Shelia Howell, my mother, the previous owner. Other popular cakes include, warm Chocolate Fudge Cake, Coffee and Walnut, Laura’s fruit slice, Seadrift Florentine and our ever popular homemade scone, simply buttered or for an extra treat with jam and cream.

Much of our food is made as much using local produce as possible. We also sell a wide selection of loose sweets displayed in the old fashion glass jars, which are as popular with the adults as the children.

We have both indoor and outdoor seating.
Opening times 10am till 5pm, throughout the year.
