The cottage is situated in the centre of the little picturesque
fishing village of Runswick Bay, overlooking and within
40 metres of the beach. Recently refurbished, it is attractively
fitted out, has full central heating and is easily maintained.
The living area is open plan, comprising
a panelled elm kitchen, fully equipped with electric cooker
and fridge; a sung lounge area with fire, television,
and three piece suite; a dining area looking over the
beach and across the bay. The modern bathroom is also
on this floor.
There are two bedrooms on the
first floor. The front bedroom has a double bed. The back
bedroom has two single beds. Each bed has a cover over
the mattress, a duvet and pillows. Please bring your own
sheets, duvet covers, pillow slips and towels.
ELECTRICITY is metered and both
meters take £1 coins. One is for general electricity
and the ‘off Peak’ is for the storage radiators and the
hot water.
PARKING. There is parking just
outside for unloading, but it will be necessary for you
to use one of the village car parks subsequently. Subject
to council policy we provide a ticket which enables you
to park in the residents car park free of charge. Please
ask about this at time of booking.
The cottage should be kept clean
and tidy and left in the condition it is found. Should
any equipment prove defective it should be reported so
that repairs can be made quickly.
Any damages and breakages should be reported and made
good. Sorry no dogs or other pets. No bookings may be
passed on to a third party without consent.
BOOKINGS are made by contacting
Mrs Jennifer Smith and secured with a £50 unreturnable
deposit which is deducted from the weekly rent. The weekly
rent is £270 plus £20 per person. This is
reviewed on Jan 1st each year.
No cancellations will be accepted
within 6 weeks of arrival date. Bookings commence at 2.00pm
Saturday and the cottage should be vacated by 11.00am
on the Saturday of leaving.
Out of season we do take weekend
bookings. The fee is £75 for two nights and £20
for each subsequent night booked.
The cottage will be open on arrival.
The heating will have been switched on as long as I know
when you are coming. If we are not there to collect the
key when you are leaving, please lock the property and
post the keys, any messages and any outstanding payments
through the door of the main house.
