Real Ale

The Captain Cook Inn is a real ale pub with several CAMRA awards and is a must for all real ale enthusiasts. Over the last few years we have had more than 2000 real ales from over 300 different breweries. We hold 3 beer festivals a year.
The 1st one of the year is held around St George’s day and has an English Heritage based theme. This year it will coincide with a Traditional Jazz and Skiffle festival. There will be 4 Jazz bands and 1 Skiffle group.

Festival 2 is held over lifeboat weekend and all ales have a nautical theme. The dates for this festival depend on the tides and it usually takes place early August (10,11 & 12 August 2007). Festival 3 coincides with Halloween and Guy Fawkes Night and all ales are themed accordingly. Although Christmas and New Year is not recognised as a festival the beers on sale carry a seasonal theme.
